Having a sister (and brother) who are younger is an amazing way to keep your finger on the pulse of what's hip as you get into your thirties. I may be getting older and fatter, but Kim and Chris are still young and cool — well, at least Chris is. So it's always interesting to see what music I'm listening to that crosses over to them and becomes relevant. I'd be a terrible A&R rep, because there's a lot that I think wouldn't, and does, and vice-versa. Latest example: The Weeknd, who my sister and her friends singled out as the highlight of Made in America this summer, and someone who I never would have pegged for more than niche appeal based on Trilogy.
